The Ingmar Bergman Foundation hosts a one day symposium with leading Bergman scholars. Thomas Elsaesser speaks on the subject of “Ingmar Bergman in the Museum?” and Maaret Koskinen talks about The Silence in a presentation entitled “Sex and the City: Embodied Visions and the Eroticism of Language”.  There will also be talks on the way ethnic minorities are presented and the as yet little explored queer perspective on Bergman’s films. The Swedish National Library presents the Ingmar Bergman Foundation Archive and their ongoing digitalization of the contents.

With: Maaret Koskinen and Thomas Elsaesser.

The events are arranged by The Ingmar Bergman Foundation with the support of the Swedish Arts Council and The Royal Swedish Academy of Letters, History and Antiquities.
